Continuing Education
Are you in need of NCLBGC continuing education classes? Look no further! Class dates start in July and run through November.
The Johnston County Building Industry Association (JCBIA) hosts in-person Continuing Education classes each year at our office in Smithfield. These classes count towards fulfilling the NC General Contractors’ Continuing Education (CE) requirement for license renewal.
North Carolina General Statute 87-10.2 states that NC licensed general contractors are required to complete annual continuing education (CE) beginning with 2021 license renewals.
Eight hours of CE must be completed every year to renew a license by at least one qualifier for licensees in the license classifications of Building, Residential and Unclassified.
For the Unclassified license it shall be the qualifier who has passed the building examination.
The 8-hour course requirement includes a mandatory 2-hour course with information about changes in the laws and rules, and other content applicable to general contracting.
The remaining 6 hours will be divided into two- and four-hour elective courses.
All classes are held in-person at the JCBIA office, 301 Bridge Street, Smithfield, NC. Breakfast and lunch will be provided courtesy of our sponsors.
The Johnston County Building Industry Association is excited to announce two highly qualified providers, Randy Pace of Pace Engineering PLLC and Hollie Rose-Galli, former college professor and current Executive Officer of the High Point Area Builders Association.
Randy and Hollie both bring their expertise to you by offering insightful and relevant courses. And both are committed to providing valuable and informative content that will enhance your professional development while meeting your Continuing Education requirements.
